The National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise was instituted in 1923. It is comprised for greater part (3/4 approximately) in the province of the Aquila in Abruzzo and for remaining in that one of Frosinone in the Lazio and that one of Isernia in the Molise of Italy.

In the last 20 years, the National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise could harmonically develop thanks to the "zonation" of the territory, leading to the integration between conservation and development and to an agreement with the Park Municipalities to solve city planning problems. The visits to the Park are controlled and selected, and many things are being done to make this National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise increasingly modern and efficient in Italy.
