Iguazu National Park is the World Park in Argentina

Iguazu National Park is the World Park in ArgentinaThe semicircular waterfall at the heart of this site is some 80 m high and 2,700 m in diameter and is situated on a basaltic line spanning the border between Argentina and Brazil. Made up of many cascades producing vast sprays of water, it is one of the most spectacular waterfalls in the world. The surrounding subtropical rain forest has over 2,000 species of vascular plants and is home to the typical wildlife of the region: tapirs, giant anteaters, howler monkeys, ocelots, jaguars and caymans.

Vaalbos National Park - Northern Cape in South Africa

Vaalbos National ParkThis 20 000 hectare National Park is situated on the banks of the Vaal River between Delportshoop and Barkly West in South Africa. This is probably one of the most interesting parks in the country as it covers an important transitional zone between Grassveld, Kalahari and Karoo biomes.

This is a unique habitat that is suitable for animals occuring generally in the dryer parts of the country, as well as those from wetter areas.

Game that could be seen include Eland, Kudu, Giraffe, Red Hartebeest, Springbok, Buffalo and both Black and White Rhino. Many birds occur in the park.

Facilities include self catering challets. Vaalbos National Park must be included in any visit to the Northern Cape. Special guided tours are offered through the park which could be combined with night drives and a barbeque in the veld.
