Lumpini Park in the Heart of Bangkok

Lumpini Park in the Heart of BangkokLumpini Park is located in the heart of Bangkok, at the junction of Rama IV and Ratchadamri roads. In front of the park is the monument of King Rama VI, built in 1941.

Lumphini Park is one of the very few areas of the Thai capital that is still patrolled by mounted policemen. It has the city's first public library and dance hall. During winter time, the Palm Garden of Lumphini Park becomes the site for the annual Concert in the Park festival featuring classical music by the Bangkok Symphony Orchestra and other bands.

Love Park to Open in Italy

Love Park to Open in ItalyA love park where passionate couples can romp freely is set to open in Italy. Many young couples in Italy find it hard to be intimate as high prices force them to live with their parents for longer.

Entrepreneur Giuseppe Foggetti is behind the park, in the southern port town Bari, where couples pay £2 to go in and another £1 for every half hour they stay.

He said: "My idea was to create a place for those that want to spend intimate moments together without thinking whether someone would be shocked if they saw it. I intend to offer security and privacy."
