Doi Khuntan National Park

Doi Khuntan National Park covers 255 sq. km on the border of Lampang and Lamphun with a habitat of evergreen and mixed deciduous forests and lowland scrub.

Doi Khuntan National ParkThere are 182 confirmed bird species and 10 mammal species as well as many butterfly species. The park offers a hike to the 1,373 m summit of Doi Khuntan, with the trail leading from the railway station - German engineers building the line to Chiang Mai early in the 20th century opened up the area's dense forests. Most hikers take a day to reach the summit, 8.3 km from the station, but a relaxed hike allows an overnight at park bungalows before continuing to the summit. There are 13 bungalows for, officially, six to 20 people each and a camp site, food should be brought along.

Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden Thailand In 1954 Mr.Pisit and Mrs. Nongnooch Tansacha bought 1500 rais of rolling hills and valleys at kilometer marker 163 on Sukhumvit road in Chonburi province. The newly purchased land was anticipated to become a fruit plantation filled with mangoes, oranges, coconuts as well as many other local fruits. But as fate may have it, Mrs. Nongnooch during her trip abroad, was inspired by the beauty of the world-renowned gardens and decided to turn the fruit orchard into a tropical garden of ornamental flowers and plants. At first meant for botanical conservation, the garden was later turned into a tourist attraction fully equipped with Thai style houses, cottages, villas, seminar halls, banquet halls, swimming pool, restaurants as well as other facilities constructed for tourist's convenience.

Opened to the public in 1980 , the garden was named “ Suan Nong Nooch ” in honor of Mrs. Nongnooch, as the word “Suan” means garden. In addition to continuing on her life's work of the garden, Mrs. Noongnooch spends her time between Bangkok and the orchard in Chieng-rai as well as Nong Nooch camping resort in Prachinburi province, which made its debut in 2001. In order to maintain the gardens, management was than handed over to her son, Mr. Kampon Tansacha.


Presently, Nong Nooch Tropical Garden & Resort is well known to those who want to take in an impressive Thai Cultural Show and find the biggest and most beautiful botanical garden in Southeast Asia. More than 2,000 visitors from around the world visit our garden daily for their enjoyment. At Nong Nooch Tropical Garden, we're always developing and improving the beautification process in order for the garden to look as it does today. Nong Nooch garden is also dedicated to education, preservation, research as well as the conservation of its vast palm collection and other tropical plants.

This public park opening since 4 december 1981. The start point is State Railway of Thailand dedicate area to King Rama 9 for celebrate King birthday 4th loop on 5 december 1975 and the King Rama 9 bestow upon this garden name on 8 january 1986 as “Chatuchak Park”

Pang Sida National Park covers the area of Amphur Muang of Sa Kaew Province, Wattana Nakorn and Amphur Na Dee of Prachinburi Province. There are fertile forests consisting value natural resources and many beautiful natural uniqueness. Its area is about 594 km2. It was designated a national park on 22 February 1982 to be the 41st national park of Thailand.

Topography
The landscape is complex high mountains. It is fertile and composed of many kinds of plants. The forests include moist evergreen forest, dry evergreen forest, dipterocarp forest and grassland which are the important sources of water and streams. Wild animals found in the park, for examples, bull, elephant, red bull, tiger, deer, barking deer, bear, warthog, and hornbill. Tourists can easily see the wild animals living in the nature like Khao Yai National Park. There was also found white-water crocodiles in the year 1991 in the area of Huay Nam Yen Forest, Amphur Muang , Sa Kaeo Province. It was expected to be the biggest and the last living place for crocodiles in Thailand.

Most of the area is rain forest and in monsoon climate that causes rain regularly so that the temperature is not so hot. The rainy season starts from June to November. The winter is from December to February; approximately temperature is 8 – 15 degrees Celsius. The summer is from March to May.

Flora and Fauna
The forest in Pang Sida National Park is rain forest, semi-evergreen forest, montane forest and deciduous forest. There have valuable plants such as Yang, Krabak (a kind of Dipterocaparceae), Red Hopea, Makhaa mong, Tabak (a kind of Lagerstroemia), Sela (a kind of Lythreceae), Burmese ebony, hog plum, Samor (a kind of Terminalia) black wood and rosewood, each spreading in a forest of its kind, and lower plants such as rattan, fernmoss and many kinds of ground orchid.

Welcome to Vachira benjathat or Suan Rotfai (Train garden) a recommend public park, not only for relax but also knowledge and fun too. It's have Butterfly garden, traffic miniature, Canoe, libraly and swimingpool inside. Decorate all the park by sculpture of playing children will fresh the atmosphere up. Most of people ride the bicycle (can hire from the front 20 Baht per day, half of them was pink with Hello Kitty sticker).

Good for excercise and perfect to relax by manies slope for wind cycle, similar with Teletubbies scene (in the old time it's was golf place). Most of people that come here was a family, lay down on the grass and picnic while the children riding bicycle around. We share smile ang laughter together.

Suan Rotfai was quite popular for photographer, It's make the picture look fresh and natural.

Chaloem Rattanakosin National Park Kanchanaburi, Thailand

Chaloem Rattanakosin National Park Image Kanchanaburi, ThailandTopography : Chaloem Rattanakosin national park is the smallest park in Kanchanaburi province. Its main features are fertile forests, steep limestone mountains, waterfalls and mysterious caves. The park was designated in February 1980 as Thailand's 17th national park covering an area of 59 square kilometers. The forested, limestone mountains of the park are the watershed of Mae Klong river. The highest peak in the park is Kam Paeng mountain which reaches 1260 meters.

The park is mostly covered by dry evergreen forest, deciduous forest with some areas of bamboo forest. There are many kinds of animal in the park, such as leopard, Banteng, Gaur, deer, white-handed gibbons and monkeys. Over 60 species of bird have been recorded in the park, including Oriental Pied Hornbills, Francolin, Tickell's Blue and Red-Flydatchers and Coppersmith Barbets. A special type of animal is "water dog" or barking tree frog (Manam of Kiadwag in Thai), a rare frog with a croak that is remarkably similar to a dog's bark.

Chaloem Rattanakosin National Park Image Kanchanaburi, ThailandHighlights and tourist attractions : Tharn Lod Noi Cave The subtle lighting in this 300 meters cave illuminates the many stalactites. A small stream inside cools the air in the cave. A 2km trail leads from this cave to its sister cave. On this trail there is a huge tree covered with bamboo stakes that villagers use to climb and collect honey from bee nests in the upper branches.An hour walk would take one to the other cave.

Tharn Lod Yai cave A spectacular sinkhole with a natural stone arch over the stream. The cave is an ancient graveyard; and weapons, skeletons and charms have been found in the cave.

Turn right (to the north) on to route number 3086 and drive to Nong Pru district. Turn left (to the west) onto the road 3480 to Ban Tha Lamyat. There is a dirt road to the park headquarters. The distance from Kanchanaburi to the park is about 96 km.
